Overview:
The Corporate and Group Sales Manager will report to the SVP, Marketing, Corporate Clubs and will be involved in all aspects of the Corporate Membership program. Our Corporate Partnerships program is the process of increasing membership sales by offering discounted memberships to single points of contact at businesses and organizations who in turn offer Planet Fitness discounts to their employees as an added employee benefit. The primary focus will be to drive membership growth through direct sales outreach, club generated lead follow-up, lead generation campaigns, and networking. This position will oversee sales in a specific multi-state region or vertical market (i.e., schools, hospitals, municipalities). In addition, this position will be responsible for managing relationships at every lifecycle stage with the target company, their employees, and multiple internal contact levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Increase club membership through targeted sales initiatives aimed at corporate and group member sources.
  • Source and cultivate B2B relationships resulting in long term membership contracts for large member bases.
  • Effectively utilizes CRM/tracking tool for effective relationship management and production reporting.
  • Collaborate with Planet Fitness Headquarters' Marketing team to align local marketing efforts with corporate initiatives.
  • Develop and negotiate bulk membership contracts, terms, and pricing.
  • Ensure high levels of member satisfaction and retention of corporate membership contracts.
  • Responsible for leveraging all aspects of the negotiated services in the best interest of the customer and Planet Fitness.
  • Respond to inbound sales while also pro-actively prospecting for new business development opportunities.
  • Responsible for providing invoicing and usage reports to Corporate Partners.
  • Manage the brand reputation and brand positioning of Planet Fitness clubs to maximize exposure in communities and designated market areas.
  • Partner with Regional and Club leadership to develop leads in new clubs and existing markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • 5-7+ years of sales experience, required. Experience in B2B sales, preferred
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform
  • Experience in development and presentation of sales proposals
  • Comfortable with short or long sales cycles
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to understand the operation and apply sales, marketing, and customer experience concepts to meet business objectives
  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
